The goal of New Horizons Hospitality, Inc. is to be a premier developer and operator of upscale, flagship hotels.

New Horizons currently owns and manages three highly successful Hilton Family hotels in Houston, TX, and are in the design phase for a flagship extended stay hotel. Although the company is newly formed, Mr. Taufiq Valiani has been in the lodging industry as an owner and operator for over 16 years, and brings his valuable experience to this newly formed company. We are a hotel management company founded in 2006 by Taufiq & Aly Valiani.

Our Team

Taufiq Valiani, President
Taufiq is a successful entrepreneur and has led the development and operations of three highly profitable Hilton Family hotels in the Houston area. Mr. Valiani has a business and law degree, and has been in business for himself since 1976 in a wide variety of consumer industries.

Aly Valiani, Vice President - Operations
Aly has a Bachelors of Business Administration from The University of Texas at Austin with a degree in Finance and Management. Aly has been the area manager for the Hampton Inn's and has extensive experience in the consumer and financial industries. Aly left a position with American Express to form New Horizons Hospitality, and hopes to lead the company into the next generation.

Dafne Torres, General Manager Hampton Inn Brookhollow
Dafne has been in the hospitality industry since 2000, beginning her career as a Guest Service Agent and is currently a General Manager. Dafne joined our team 6 years ago and has proven her worth through her dedication, commitment to excellence, perseverance and desire to succeed. In March 2008, Dafne was promoted from our 62-room Hampton Inn to an 81-room Hampton Inn with 600 square feet of meeting space. She is the proud mother of newly born baby girl, Sofya.

Jeanne Erwin, Director of Sales

Jeanne has over 15 years experience in the hospitality industry in the Houston area. Specializing in Account Management Services, Jeanne provides customer-focused Meeting and Group Hotel Services for a wide variety of multi-national companies in various industries. With a long history of working with some of Houston's top Oil & Gas and Energy-Related companies comes a professionalism and attention to details that corporate planners rely on We take that level of service and high expectations into each department of The Hilton Garden Inn The Woodlands, for each guest and client that stays with us.

Spencer Dowdle - General Manager

Spencer has managed in the hospitality industry for 20 years in extended stay properties, limited service, select service, and full service golf and ski resorts. Spencer has managed properties for Hilton, Marriott, Sheraton, and Westin in addition to independent flags, with property sizes ranging from 117 to 590 rooms. He has managed 16 separate homeowner associations in an owner - rental condo/resort environment and managed staffs in excess of 440.

Amina Shariff - Accounting
Amina has 20+ years of accounting experience in retail and service industries. Amina is responsible for payroll, accounts payable/receivables, monthly and quarterly taxes, and has been with the company since 2007.
